We are hiring a part-time Birthday Host role for the weekends. You will:
• Set up for parties and clean up between parties
• Welcome birthday families and their guests
• Conduct fun STEM activities during some parties
• Welcome people to Open Play
• Help everyone stay safe and have fun
• Perform closing/opening cleaning tasks and duties
You will generally work a 5-6 hour shift on Saturday, Sunday, or both, either the first half of the day, or the second half. Hours are somewhat flexible depending on the weekend and your availability, but you'll know them well in advance. Some additional weekday hours may be available to pick up, depending on your availability.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has some experience working with toddler/elementary-aged kids
• Has some customer service experience
• Can problem-solve and adapt, because things don't always go as planned!
• Is detail oriented and can keep to a schedule
• Can maintain an organized storage space
• Has a positive, friendly, helpful, team-oriented, can-do attitude
• Has a warm, friendly, and developmentally appropriate approach to working with children
Pay is $18 per hour. Benefits include paid time off, 401k matching, and astronaut ice cream! Staff can also bring their family to play in the play space any time you're not working.
